Galerie & Infos

The Ditesheim Gallery, located in the heart of the old town of Neuchâtel, was established in 1972. Its founder, François Ditesheim, has been showcasing modern and contemporary Swiss and international artists for nearly 50 years.

The Gallery regularly participates in Paris, at the FIAC, at artparis, at the Salon de l’Estampe, at the Salon du dessin contemporain, at the Pavillon des arts et du design, at the Salon du dessin, and at Artgenève. Additionally, it participated regularly in ArtBasel from 1976 to 2007. From 1989 to 2006, François Ditesheim was associated with Jan Krugier Geneva, Galerie Jan Krugier-Ditesheim & Cie, Geneva.

Since its inception, the Ditesheim Gallery has primarily focused on the field of printmaking and drawing, primarily from the 20th century. Artists such as Piranese or Goya have been, in solo or group exhibitions, confronted with modern and contemporary production, such as the drawn and engraved work of Erik Desmazières.

Since 2013, Patrick Maffei (who joined the gallery in 2005) has become a partner, and the new business name is Ditesheim & Maffei Fine Art SA.
